Team work is vital to the success of any organisation for it to be truly effective, uniting your work force will not only increase positive relationships it will boost morale, encourage communication, harness creativity, inspire loyalty and develop leadership.
John Machin’s corporate days are both entertaining and challenging for you and your colleagues. Our aim is to get you working as a team and building relations in the work place whist having a lot of fun.
Working with some of the UK’s biggest and best corporations we have a vast amount of knowledge of all things team building which makes us premier for delivering a day that is incredibly rewarding not only for the individuals involved but for the company too.
WHATS INVOLVED IN JOHN MACHIN’S CORPORATE DAY?
The day starts by meeting John’s Team of coaches at his own private boxing gym which is packed full of all the latest boxing equipment for your work force to use throughout the day.
John and his team will run through all the health and safety guidelines and show you how to apply your hand wraps, which is a vital part of training safely.
Then the fun starts with a group warm up which will include boxing related movements and games.
The coach will then demonstrate the correct boxing techniques which you will put into practice using partners, which enables everyone to be involved.
Using the new skills you have learnt, we will add some boxing related games regularly switching the partners to make sure the whole group mixes. This is a great way for the group to interact together and build relationships.
Then we will stop for a much-needed refreshment break.
Once your all refuelled, we will move on to more boxing related activities. To add a little friendly rivalry between your team the coaches will start to monitor you all to see who putting their newly learned skills into practice.
Then a break for lunch which will take place at a local restaurant. There is a choice of Bella Mia which is a good local Italian restaurant or the award winning Arunothai which are both located a short walk away from John’s boxing gym.
To work off that lunch we will introduce a boxing bag routine, this is a little more physical but can be done at your own pace, so all abilities can join in. This exercise is aimed to build comradery and encouragement between the team.
Competition time!! Let’s see who’s been listening in class and who will have the bragging rights back at the office. This will be marked by our coaches and at the end of the day the points will be added to the winner’s trophy.
Final circuit of the day which will also be part of the (not so) friendly competition will include kettlebells, battle ropes, skipping, dumbbells, box jumps, resistance bands to name a few, all focusing on reassurance and supporting each other to get over the last hurdle together.
And relax! Time to stretch off and feel revitalized. Taking away a team which is energized and motivated.
Wait! Let’s not forget those bragging rights. Your new champion will be announced by the coaches and presented with a trophy to take away with them.
